WHO IS TAYLOR JONES
Taylor Jones is a proud Detroit native with a talent and passion for basketball. Her love of basketball began as soon as she could walk. As a toddler, she could be seen with a basketball in her hand shooting baskets with her two older brothers. At five years old, Taylor was breaking barriers and playing in an all-boys organized league. By the time Taylor was in 6th grade, she was competing in AAU basketball against high-school-aged girls – she held her own, even as the youngest member of the team.
From 4th to 8th grade, Taylor played varsity basketball for Gesu Catholic School. She received numerous awards for her athletic talents and academic achievements. Taylor spent her high school years excelling at Mercy High while being a Ms. Basketball Nominee, ranking Top 10 in the state of Michigan. She became a championship winner as she drained the game-winning buzzer-beater during the Catholic High School League championship. Accepted on a full scholarship to Oakland University, Taylor continued to soar academically and break basketball records.
Her camp was born out of a desire to mentor the youth and inspire them to take their love of basketball to new heights. Sharing her knowledge, balanced training, vast experience, and specialized skill allow her to impact and give back to her community positively.
